THE 35TH ANNUAL STUDENT JURIED EXHIBITION
Every year in the Spring semester, students in the School of Art & Design are asked to submit their best artworks for a chance at inclusion in this popular exhibition. Eight of the students will win cash prizes. This year’s juror is Erika Hess artist and host/creator of the celebrated podcast, I Like Your Work.

Maximum Capacity is a follow-up to the exhibit Minimum Capacity, which was the product of adaption when student artists were suddenly faced with the cancellation of the exhibition they planned to mount in April… Participating students include… S. Alex Simental of Huntington;

Art students host virtual reception for their Atlanta-based exhibit ‘Minimum Capacity’
Students from the Marshall University School of Art and Design hosted a virtual reception May 8 for their exhibit Minimum Capacity, which will be on display until May 28 in a nonprofit project space in Atlanta as they await an opportunity to present an expanded version of their work locally later this year, with hopes that the COVID-19 pandemic will be past… “Meeting with Craig Drennen not only guided us through useful exhibition strategies today, but it also gave insight into working with and building trust with curators to navigate a professional art career,” said art student Alex Simental.
